How it all began...

N.C. Leasing, founded by Charles V Phelps in 1956, has been through the fluctuations of the economy; and has become an industry veteran. Charlie was born in North Carolina, served in the military until 1953, and then moved to Dundalk, MD where he worked on the railroad for a short period of his life.
In the year 1955, Charlie and Nancy Phelps became married. 

On October 6, 1956, in search for a means of support for his growing family, he decided to follow his dream and passion for trucks.  Charlie borrowed $100 from his mother-in-law Pearl Smith, in order to buy his very first truck; which was then called a Federal (picture to the right).

N.C. Leasing became incorporated in 1960; N. represents Nancy and C. represents Charlie.

Since then, N.C. Leasing has grown to 15 power units and over 400 trailers.  As an industry veteran, N.C. Leasing has the experience and flexibility that stands apart from any other.

Recently celebrating our 60th anniversary, N.C. Leasing Inc. has efficiently provided services to many companies, big and small.  Our focus is providing a personal service with a sense of friendliness, honesty, integrity, and expertise of logistics since 1956.

Today, the business is preceded by Steven V Phelps 2nd generation, and Blake Phelps 3rd generation.
